DIY: USA FLAG

The day is finally here! The Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies are tonight and I couldn't be more excited! In honor of the event, I made this simple flag to represent the good 'ol USA. I cut all of these shapes out of stiffened felt and glued them using a hot glue gun. Easy peasy!

You better believe I'll be waving this flag and cheering on the athletes for the next 17 days!

DIY: FRINGE BRACELET

With summertime comes bare arms, but not for long with this fun DIY fringe bracelet I've got to
share with you on Design for Mankind. I used a similar technique found on Say Yes to Hoboken
by dipping cotton swabs into bleach and pressing them onto fabric to create a pattern. This technique was so easy that I'm coming up with other patterns to do and things to use it on. I'm thinking a striped
 t-shirt is in store soon!

DIY RUFFLE TANK TOP

Today I'm showing you how to add a tiny bit of detail to any old tank top and make it feel new again! I picked a very simple white tank top and paired it with some ruffled eyelet trim from my local fabric shop. Similar found here. Pinning it around the edge of the arm hole, I sewed it using white thread and voila! A detailed tank top that feels feminine.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Wishing you all a safe and happy Fourth of July! It's one of my favorite holidays! I usually spend it making sweet treats in the kitchen that finish baking just in time to head out for some fireworks.
